The Swedish Association of Qatar (SAQ) is the community for Swedes living in Qatar and for friends of Sweden. Since 2018, I’ve had the honor to serve as President, and together with our members we’ve built a place where people can meet, share, and celebrate our culture.
We organize events through the year — from Swedish traditions like Midsummer and Lucia to cultural programs and gatherings that bring people together and strengthen the connection between Sweden and Qatar.
For us, SAQ is about more than events. It’s about keeping our traditions alive, supporting each other, and feeling at home even when we’re far from Sweden.
